i have had tech 8 boots since 2002 and i can tell you i launched jumps and go down trails and wipe out sometimes and i wouldnt ride without my tech 8. even though they have tech 10 now, i still would only buy tech 8 they have the gel insole which is very comfy and supportive. get them you will love them plus every wear spot is replaceable and by far the best boots ever made. buy tech 8 and be all set for as long as you ride
